Silence in Spanish
Nearly 60 Spanish-speaking adults were led through 3 days of silence at the Jesuit Retreat House in Oshkosh by Casa Romero’s Acompañantes – leaders trained to give retreats and walk with others in prayerful reflection upon their lives. Many thanks to Casa Romero donors and JRH for making this retreat possible!
*Program sponsored by: Gesu Parish
Comunidad de Amigos
Casa Romero's new choir, Comunidad de Amigos, was invited to Holy Hill to lead the singing for Palm Sunday. Immediately the pastor invited them back! Click the video for the opportunity to be lifted up by their joyful music!
*Holy Apostles Parish generously donated several instruments to help start this program.
Art Club
Middle school is a difficult emotional journey for most young people but it is all the more so for children of immigrants. Notre Dame Academy is one of two schools where Casa Romero leaders skillfully use art as a catalyst for facilitating important conversations in a safe environment among Latinx middle schoolers. Our goal, in conjunction with the school, is to walk with them towards purposeful, generous lives.
